How to make Idli Podi in Bullet Jar
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 25 nos Red Chili adjust to your spice level
- ¾ cup Whole Urad Dal
- ¼ cup Split Bengal Gram (Channa Dal / Kadalaparuppu)
- ⅓ cup Sesame Seeds
- 2 pinch Asafoetida (Asafoetida)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (adjust to your taste)
- 3 teaspoon Cooking Oil

Step-By –Step:
- Roast sesame seeds on low flame till they start to pop. Keep aside.
- Heat 1 tsp oil, add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add urad dal and fry till light brown. Keep aside.
- Add another 1 tsp of oil, fry chana dal till golden. Keep aside.
- Again, add 1 tsp oil, fry red chillies on low flame till they change color.

- Let everything cool.

- Grind sesame seeds first to a fine powder (in short pulses) in a bullet Jar. Keep aside.
- Grind red chillies + salt to a powder with the Bullet Jar.
- Add the roasted dals and grind to a coarse powder.

- Add the sesame powder and give 1–2 pulses to mix.
- Store in an airtight jar.
- Mix 1–2 tsp podi with sesame oil and enjoy with Idli/Dosa
