Mixer Grinder Jars & Couplers

Which jars fit my Preethi mixer grinder?

If you have a Preethi Popular, Eco Plus, Zodiac, Blue Leaf, or Steel model, all of the following jars are compatible:

Do your jars fit Bajaj, Pigeon, Sumeet, or Kenstar mixers?

Yes — our bullet jars and couplers work with Bajaj, Pigeon, Sumeet, Kenstar, and most Indian mixers that use the standard 4-teeth coupler:

What is the difference between a wet jar and a dry jar?

Wet jars are for chutneys, coconut, ginger-garlic paste, and batter. Dry jars are for spices, coffee, and grains. Using the wrong type reduces grind quality and strains the motor.

What is a bullet jar?

A bullet jar attaches to your existing mixer motor instead of the standard jar. It turns your mixer into a personal blender for smoothies, shakes, and quick chutneys. After blending it flips into a sipper bottle.

My mixer jar is leaking from the blade base. What do I do?

First check the blade base is hand-tight. If still leaking, the rubber seal inside has worn out. Contact us with your jar model and we’ll help you find the right replacement.

Stone Mortar & Pestle — Kalvam Size Guide

I want to grind spices and chutneys daily. Which size should I buy?

The Kalvam 8 Inch (boat shape) is the right choice for most households — ideal for daily ginger-garlic, chutneys, and spices for 2–6 people. → View Kalvam 8 Inch

I cook for a large family or need bigger grinding capacity.

The Kalvam 10 Inch or Boat Shape Big gives you more room for larger batches. → View Large Kalvams

I want something compact for the pooja area, or for grinding turmeric and sandalwood.

  • Kalvam Round 5 Inch — compact mortar for small spice amounts and pooja use
  • Manjal Kal Rubbing Stone — flat stone for very fine paste of turmeric, sandalwood, or almonds. Better for paste used in skincare or pooja rituals.

What is the difference between a Kalvam and a regular round mortar and pestle?

A Kalvam has a traditional South Indian boat or oval shape — better for larger, wetter ingredients like coconut, herbs, and roots. A round mortar is better for smaller amounts of dry spices. For everyday Indian cooking, the Kalvam is more versatile.

What is a Manjal Kal and how is it different from a Kalvam?

A Manjal Kal is a flat stone with a small cylindrical pestle you grind horizontally — designed for very fine paste of turmeric, sandalwood, and almonds. A Kalvam crushes with a vertical motion and handles larger amounts.

Do I need to do anything before using my stone mortar for the first time?

Yes — grind two handfuls of raw white rice and discard the grey powder (removes manufacturing stone dust). Rinse and dry. See our Care & Usage Guide.
